Barletta (BT) - Apulia

Barletta is one of the most characteristic cities of Puglia, where history and culture intersect at every corner.

Also called "city of the challenge", for the famous clash held on 13 February 1503 on the morning of Sant'Elia, between thirteen Italian knights and as many French knights.

Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, in front of the Gargano promontory, it is recognized as a city of art that offers an important heritage, with its elegant architecture, unique museum collections and important buildings.

The heart of the old town is to be discovered for the web of alleys that intersect there, where you can see the Castle, among the most beautiful Renaissance fortresses and home to the Civic Museum.

Within walking distance you can visit the famous cathedral and the imposing bronze Colossus, known locally as Heraclius.
