Cava de' Tirreni (SA) - Campania

Cava de' Tirreni is a lively and interesting center of the province of Salerno, in southern Italy, where art and culture are mixed in a continuous and timeless dialogue.

From the pleasant and characteristic old town, where plays of light and shadows between the local stone arcades create the right atmosphere for suggestive walks.

Being in its alleys to see the works of its craftsmen is an emotion to try. The gestures and dexterity of an art, that of ceramics, that from the past has drawn its most material strength, but that is oriented to the future in an innovative research of reinterpretation.

Also intriguing are the religious architectural structures, such as the imposing Badia della Santissima Trinità, which can be seen in its imposing beauty from the corners of the city and which houses valuable works, from its majestic library, with the archive to the catacombs, up to the Church of San Francesco e Sant'Antonio that houses inside the botafumeiro, one of the largest censers in the world, that swings like a pendulum between the naves of the church, chanting the liturgies and releasing a scent of incense intoxicating air.

This city is culturally dynamic and has a heritage of beauties, which deserve to be told and experienced on site.
