Camerota (SA) - Campania

Very popular destination in summer in the Cilento territory Camerota is considered as one of the most famous thanks to its crystal clear sea and the many activities to be carried out that make it unique.

Camerota Country is a center that has all the appearance of a medieval village, located in a higher position than Marina di Camerota, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view.

From here you can admire, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, the walls of the medieval Castle and the Norman Tower.

The name Camerota comes from the Greek "kamaròtos" which means "curved" in reference to the numerous natural caves that surround its territory. Among the most famous are the Grotta del Pesce, dell'Autaro and Caprara, important because inside they have been found finds, remains and fossils dating back to the Stone Age.

The sandy beaches and the transparent water, together with the many services offered by the different marine establishments, make it perfect for relaxing stays near the sea.
