Baronissi (SA) - Campania

Baronissi, a hilltop town of medieval origin, is located in the middle of the Irno Valley, in a basin where the homonymous river rises.

In this charming and characteristic village you can visit the showy church of Sant'Agnese below which there is an interesting archaeological complex, better known as the Roman Villa.

It is an important rustic villa built in the late Republican and decorously enlarged in the first century AD.

Of the original complex remain the rooms of the lower floor that are arranged around an important and evocative cryptoporticus.

Baronissi is a strategic place for those who intend to stay near the Amalfi Coast, living fully the tradition of local culture and tasting what are the products of this fantastic town of ancient origins.
