Maratea (PZ) - Basilicata

Maratea is a town rich in beautiful landscapes, a "diamond" set in the Gulf of Policastro, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, full of intoxicating scents of sea and nature, rocks touched by the rays of the sun that create beautiful plays of light.

Along the ancient village, you can see the famous portals and alleys, arches and eighteenth-century buildings, caves, coastal towers, and, among others, a cozy and intimate square.

The old town offers a rich concentration of architectures of historical value, including places of worship; for this reason Maratea is also called "the city of 44 churches".

Reaching Monte San Biagio, you are entranced by the imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer that gives the back to the sea.
