Thermal Baths of Rapolla

Thermal Baths in Rapolla

Rapolla is a small but characteristic Lucan town in the Vulture basin, famous as an important spa town in the Basilicata region.

The history of the Baths of Rapolla with the birth of the first establishment in history is quite recent, since the sources of thermal water were identified only in the early nineteenth century.

The spa complex, however, was founded in 1961 and was later completely renovated in 1996.

Its waters have much more distant geological sources: in fact they get their minerals in the very long journey that travel in the bowels of the earth where they meet the lava rocks of the extinct volcano, the Vulture, which sprouts a few kilometers from Rapolla.
